Possibly my favourite Sonic game for the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis, with Sonic 3 and Sonic And Knuckles locked together u get a huge game with 2 story lines Sonic's and Knuckles'

Sonic's Story:

The Death Egg has crashed onto the mystical Angel Island, while Dr. Robotnik builds his deadly weapon secretly he gains the trust of the Island's guardian, Knuckles The Echidna. Sonic And Tails visit Angel Island to explore but is ambushed by Knuckles and Dr. Robotnik is wreaking havoc across the island with his new army of Badnik and Knuckles causing problems for Sonic and Tails, meanwhile Dr. Robotnik secretly plans to steal the Islands sacred relic: The Master Emerald and use it to power up the Death Egg. Will Sonic and Tails Save Angel Island???

Knuckles' Story:

Peace is restored to Angel Island, the Death Egg has been destroyed and Knuckles can lay back and relax... Until a bomb is dropped by him and now the last survivng Egg Robo of the Death Egg is causing problems for Angel Island and the Master Emerald has been stolen again!! Knuckles races against time before Angel Island crashed back down on Mobius!

This is the first game to feature Knuckles The Echidna
