Dogtanian off the 80's cartoon Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds

A Blast from my past really i use to watch this a long time ago and got the DVD set a couple of years ago.
Created from a Spanish animation company called B.R.B International once i heard it was classed as an anime tho i can see why it is rather similar animation to Anime

Well, BRB sometimes asked japanese animation studios to fill some parts between key frames. They did a very fine mixture thanks to not overusing one company, but sometimes it was quite bad.

And on topic, the BRB group had a lot of people and artists, from many countries. You can find Spanish, French and Japanese on one credits title page, which is for me quite a good thing. :3

They made Around the world with Willy Fog the same way... And knowing that such a work went so well that you barely see a character error makes me happy. :3

i might sound snobbish but these cartoons are quite a quality and they bring the feeling of the books almost perfectly while being a cartoon and expanding some characters even... The female characters in particular developed a lot. Romy in above is not a plot device for instance, and the Lady also got some more depth.
